Save the Children discloses the following categories of your Personal Data to third parties via marketing cooperatives and through online tracking technologies on our Site for targeted advertising purposes or analytics purposes. Access to sensitive information is strictly limited to authorized personnel through role based access controls designed to prevent unauthorized viewing or handling of data. Our systems are continuously monitored to detect any signs of unauthorized access or misuse, enabling rapid identification of potential threats. In the event of a security incident or data breach, we will promptly notify affected individuals and take immediate corrective action to mitigate impact and prevent recurrence. We retain data only for as long as necessary to meet business or legal requirements, after which it is securely deleted in accordance with industry best practices. The Right to Opt-Out of the Sale of Your Data for Targeted Advertising Purposes
As described in the section titled, “Sale of Personal Data and Our Use of Personal Data for Targeted Advertising Purposes,” our use of online tracking technologies may be considered a “sale” under applicable law. You can opt out of the sale of your Personal Data by clicking the “Your Privacy Choices” link at the bottom of our website and selecting your preferences.
If you do not have an account with Save the Children or you are not logged into your account, your request to opt out of “sale”/targeted advertising will be linked to your browser identifier only and not linked to any account information because the connection between your browser and the account is not known to us.
The Right to Accessing, Correcting, and Deleting Personal Data
You have the right to request access to and receive details about the Personal Data we maintain about you and how we have processed it, correct inaccuracies, get a copy of, or delete your Personal Data. You may also have the right to withdraw your consent to our processing of your Personal Data. These rights may be limited in some circumstances by applicable law.

A Portable Copy of Your Personal Data
You may submit a request for a copy of the Personal Data collected about you up to twice per year by sending an email to privacy@savechildren.org.
Responding to Requests
Once you have submitted your request, we will respond within the time frame permitted by the applicable law. Please note that we may charge a reasonable fee for multiple requests in the same 12-month period, as permitted by law.
Appealing Requests
You may appeal our decision to your request regarding your personal information. To do so, please contact us in any of the ways listed in the “Contact Us” section. We respond to all appeal requests as soon as we reasonably can, and no later than legally required.
Identity Verification
For us to process some requests, we will need to verify your identity to confirm that the request came from you. We may contact you by phone or e-mail to verify your request. Depending on your request, we will ask for information such as your name, an e-mail address that you have used on www.savethechildren.org or your Donor ID.
Authorized Agent
You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf to access or delete your personal information. To do so, you must: (1) provide that authorized agent written and signed permission to submit such request; and (2) verify your own identity directly with us. Please note, we may deny a request from an authorized agent that does not submit proof that they have been authorized by you to act on your behalf.
To submit a request as an authorized agent on behalf of a consumer, please send us an email at privacy@savechildren.org with your first and last name and a phone number at which we may contact you. Please indicate in the subject line that you are making an Authorized Agent Request.
Information for Residents of the European Union (EU) or United Kingdom (UK)
We will only process your Personal Data including sharing it with third parties, where (1) you have provided your consent (which can be withdrawn at any time), or (2) the processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which you are a party, or (3) we are required by law, or (4) the processing is required to protect your vital interests or those of another person, (5) or the processing is necessary for the purposes of our legitimate commercial interests (except where such interests are overridden by your rights and interests).
You have the right to ask us not to process your Personal Data for marketing purposes.
